Practice and Games [Apr. 12th, 2009|07:59 pm]
Hi Ladies,

We have 2 weekends of games and 6 practices left.  Lets have a good turnout to each so we can improve the one area that will help the most and that is our defensive rugby.  IU exposed some things that we can focus on and definently improve before next weeks game and the tournament in Grand Rapids.

Details on next 2 weekends:

Grand Valley game will be at home.  I am still confirming kickoff time.  I am pushing for 3pm time but waiting on a response.

Grand Rapids tournament is 3 games.  2 on Saturday at 10am and noon.  1 Game on Sunday at either 9 or 11am I think.  So you will have a free afternoon on Saturday to do as you like.  Whether it be schoolwork or what have you.  With the 10am start time it would be best to leave on Friday evening as the hotels will be covered by the union.

Thanks and hope you had a happy easter.

Brodrick

Drivers for IU [Apr. 7th, 2009|12:26 pm]
 Hey y'all!

So this is a little last minute, but I need to know who can go to IU on Thursday, and who will be driving.  Also please post what time you will be available to leave campus.  I believe we play at 7 so we're shooting for leaving BSU around 4 so we can have some time to warm up before we play.  So just let me know.  Thanks ladies!

Also, just wanted to say you all did so well at the Purdue game, I'm so proud of the team!

Video Session Monday - 5pm at Hopper/Kat/Mafi's house [Apr. 5th, 2009|08:41 pm]
Hi Ladies,

Practice will be held Monday at Hopper/Kat/Mafi's house at 1220 Abbott.  Most of you probably already know where it is at.

Please work to make it as it is important to watch as a group and see it in a technical point of view.

See you then,

Monday Practice [Apr. 5th, 2009|07:37 pm]
Hi Ladies,

Well change of plans due to weather.  Instead of practicing in Wet/Cold conditions outside, I would like to have our first Team Video Session to review the game from this weekend and the Marquette game at Nash Bash.

I would like everyone to see what I see when watching tape so we can focus on that for Wednesday's practice and game against IU Thursday.

Coach

PS - I am sending an email too, anyone want to volunteer their house to watch it.  It would still be at 5pm normal practice time.  I have a video projector and camcorder that I would play from or a big tv if you have it.  Let me know.

NASH BASH [Mar. 24th, 2009|09:56 am]
[Current Location |GIS Lab]
[mood | contemplative]
[music |Rent]

Hey Chicas,

Post here like vickie said when you can leave for nash bash and if you can drive, be DD, and how many you can fit.

I highly recommend looking at our Rules of Rugby section on our site: http://womensrugby.iweb.bsu.edu/rules/rules.html   It has videos, song lyrics, and more helpful tips on the game. Not to mention my fave: Crazy daily rugby tackles.

If you still haven't finished your shirt let either Hopper Kat or Mafi know if u want to come over and use the supplies at our house to finish it. We'll let u know when we'll be there.

Btdub, we usually do shirts in the spring. If anyone is up to stepping up and organizing it (list of names, sizes, collect $, and distributing apparel) let me know. If no one steps up there will be no shirts. It's not too hard and I can answer questions if you need help with it. We should probably have designs ready the Monday after Nash Bash and vote by the end of that week. Then place orders for the following week.

Much Love and Great job this past weekend!

~Hoppper

Miami Oxford game this weekend [Mar. 16th, 2009|08:51 pm]
Hey girls. So we're trying to figure out who's going to the game in Ohio this weekend. So just leave a post letting us know if you're coming and also if you'll be driving. We have a lot of girls on the roster so we could potentially need a lot of drivers, so if you have a car please bring it!

Also, come to the 1220 Abbott house this Friday for some good old fashioned team bonding time. Hopper is putting together a scavenger hunt and afterwards we'll be making t-shirts for Nash Bash, so this is a night you won't want to miss! Bring a blank shirt and paint or anything else you want to use for decorating.

And I also wanted to say that I think everyone did a great job at practice today, it was a really good day for our first outdoor practice. Keep up the good work ladies and I'll see you all at Heath on Wednesday!

xoxo,

KitKat

Saturday Feb. 7, 2009 [Feb. 6th, 2009|12:02 pm]
[mood | chipper]

Hey girlies,

Around 2 o'clock feel free to stop by and hang out at my house at 315 N Calvert St. Muncie, IN 47303. It will be just some fun bonding time watching a rugby game, pizza, pop, and snacks. We will go over the objective of rugby including, how to score, offense, defense, positions, and anything else!! I just ask to bring like $5 to help pitch in for the food and if there is money left over I'll send right back into the rugby account for socials later in the season! ;)

Directions:

Calvert is the street in between T.I.S. and where there the Den used to be. So if you take Calvert from University Ave. right there in the villiage, just go south passed North St. and I will be the four house on your right (the house right before the church). It is a white two story with tall pillars and a bike on the porch. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 317.753.1134 or jeday@bsu.edu!

One Love,
Jenna Day
